Technical writing
Every beginning is difficult - but we can make it easier.
The first station in the life-cycle of the documents is the desk of the technical writer. It is his task to convert the scientific sounding, technical jargon into a generally comprehensible language, which will make the information accessible for the future target group.
The actual technical writing can only commence after the writer entrusted with the task has acquired the necessary knowledge from existing documents, as well as from discussions with the development engineers and experts on the topic.
The writer must have a clear idea about the target audience, keeping in mind the reader's prior knowledge of the topic. A professional handbook for IT experts must be written differently from a manual meant for the average user. This in itself poses a challenge.
